We’re hiring a permanent Sr. Lean Change Leader with our client, a world leader in developing products and services that enhance animal health, wellness and performance. This is key role in the company and will have exposure to top-level management positions in Canada and US.

The Lean Change Leader will be a strategic voice in driving out non-value added processes and lead the site wide lean implementation. As a highly driven self-starter, they will help analyze and define improvement activities and create and support sustainability and continuous improvement across the Site.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with finance to provide strategic financial analysis to identify Site Cost savings ideas
  • Own the implementation, tracking and reporting on Site Value Capture (Tech Agenda savings, Lean/OPEX savings, etc) to achieve our Business Plan targets
  • Owns the yearly site self-assessment to identify continuous improvement opportunities for building the Lean/OpEx roadmap for the following year
  • Supports quarterly lean maturity assessments with the site lead team
  • Able to help disseminate large sets of data, prioritize, and then drive key actions for improvement
  • Collaborate with Lean Change Agents/Leaders at other Elanco Sites and build strong network
  • Strong on floor presence across the Site to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Teach and coach all levels of employees (including site lead team) on lean principles and tools with the goal of educating and engaging a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Support the achievement of site KPIs, an increase lean maturity scores, the change agenda, and/or critical safety and quality needs using lean/OpEX principles and tools.
  • Support the Lead Team in defining and implementing the lean roadmap across the site, and in the development of the annual Business Plan.
  • Other duties as required.

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience, plus 5-7 years of related technical experience.
  • Demonstrated familiarity of Manufacturing Financials and how to identify opportunities
  • Strong Excel skills (eg. to develop project ROI/Strategic plans/financial analysis)
  • Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations aimed at upper management level
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and train others.
  • Ability to connect and influence others
  • Competent in project management (can manage to tight deadlines).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills (Root Cause Analysis).
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing business processes.
  • Self-managed, self-starter, and high level of drive
