An exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer with a strong site/ offshore commissioning background to deliver on a Tier One brownfields project.

  • To deliver brownfields projects and Phase 2 projects in accordance with the project schedule and budget, meeting the requirements of the project in relation to safety, quality, reliability, operability and maintainability
  • Scope of work review for offshore commissioning aspect for all discipline related brownfield modifications.
  • Work permit and RA creation, verification and validation for related discipline.
  • Expedite for timely availability the required resources (manpower, vendor assistance, commissioning spares, testing equipment, and consumables) for the offshore commissioning execution.
  • Liaise with the commissioning leader and manage team to complete the offshore commissioning of subsystems following the project schedule and priorities for handover to the operations team.
  • Knowledge, understanding and application of OPERCOM pre-commissioning and commissioning methodology.
  • Witness as appropriate the pre-commissioning activities performed by the EPC and validation of ‘Ready for Commissioning’ dossiers.
  • Verification of ICAPS database for the discipline.
  • Ensure project specific requirements are followed properly such as API Standards, DNV and the like.
  • Control and manage the organisation and optimization of offshore preparatory commissioning work for related discipline.
  • Responsible for the control and management of offshore commissioning activities for related discipline.
  • Assistance and contractor follow up during offshore installation, hook-up and pre-commissioning.
  • Provide assistance to production start-up team as required
  • Identify and mobilize materials, vendors, third parties required for offshore commissioning activities.
  • Responsibility for the mark-ups of drawing (“As Commissioned Documents”).
  • Participate in the preparation and execution of OTP’s.
  • Progress reporting and planning for all activities related to the above duties including but not limited to, progress, man hours, punch-lists etc to the commissioning leader.
  • Work permit and RA creation, verification and validation for related discipline.
  • As technical expert for all electrical equipment, report technical problems encountered and provide technical support for the resolution of technical issues and cost-efficient solutions for brownfields scope and phase 2 project scope
  • Participate in Risk Assessments, HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP’s, workshops, design reviews, constructability reviews and project reviews etc. as required.



  • Existing Working Rights in Australia
  • TBOSIET – minimum requirement for those individuals mobilized for offshore scope
  • MSIC – minimum requirement for those individuals mobilized for offshore scope
  • Desirable - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR/ Low Voltage Rescue/ Trade Level Qualifications/
  • Electrical 'A' Class License/ EEHA Detailed Inspection/ High Voltage Switching/ Working at Heights/ Confined Space Entry
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in either onshore or offshore commissioning within the oil & gas industry including working in fabrication yards and offshore Australia.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in working in hook-up and pre-commissioning phases of a project.
  • Experience with large production facilities, working offshore and with live facilities
  • A strong site (offshore) Commissioning background
  • Good Completions systems knowledge
