Communications Technician – Day Rate contract – FIFOBrunel Australasia are seeking a Communication Technician for our Mining client’s site-based mine systems team. This will be a role on 8:6 roster for a period of 6 months with an opportunity to convert to FTE based on performance.

As the successful applicant you will have proven experience in communications infrastructure this will include mine radio, microwave, leeky feeder, wireless networks.

Reporting to the Mine Systems Supervisor, this position will ensure safe, effective and timely communication.As a Minimum you will hold an apprenticeship, adult trade scheme or Certificate IV in electronics or communication.

Your previous experience with MineStar Fleet Management System and TETRA Digital Radio systems will place you in our shortlist for consideration.



Maintenance of all site radio and Fleet Management System and hardware.

Accountability for the availability of the systems ensuring that there is a high degree of business continuity.

Maintaining configuration systems and strategies to required specifications.

Adherence to work orders, work processes and compliance to work schedules.

Following a defined continuous improvement process to ensure ongoing implementation of best practice for system performance, reliability and accuracy.

Our client has ensured an attractive day rate in place for this assignment with option for renewal.
